Buck up Bridget Jones!
Like most bloggers I read a lot of other blogs, and I’ve been noticing something that has been driving me crazy!
All these female dating/relationship/sex bloggers are down in the dumps. I hate this. It literally makes me stop reading in my tracks!
Listen, I totally get that a blog is for venting, for letting out what you are thinking. Hell, I can’t afford weekly therapy, so yeah, a blog is a great place to do that, but I’m starting to feel like most of these girls just want the positive reinforcement from the outside world.
I’ll agree that those comments you get which tell you that you are wonderful, pretty, talented, better then others, blah blah blah… positive reinforcement bullshit can be nice, and those odd few personal emails you get from readers telling you that you are wonderful are well, wonderful.
But come on! Ladies, do you really need to go on and on about how terrible your life is, how no one asked you on a date this week which must mean you’re fat and ugly, how life is terrible and no one reads you so maybe you should just give up!?
Do all those “you’re wonderful” comments really make you feel better about your self?
I’m sorry but I refuse to acknowledge your ‘feel sorry for me’ behavior. It’s childish and a waste of my brain space! (and just saying but I have a feeling most guys feel the same!)
Snap out of it you Bridget Jones want to be’s and maybe then you’ll get a date!
FACT: The only good thing about this is my reading time online has gone way down, which leave more time for other activities. Activities like getting out of the house and maybe meeting boys! (HINT HINT!)

It’s funny that you wrote this today. I was just going through my comments and a bunch of the female bloggers wrote things like, “I”m sorry, you’re fabulous, blah blah blah”. But my post didn’t say that I was sad. Just told a story about how and why I wasn’t going to see a specific guy again. I very specifically wasn’t upset about it.
It’s like I was EXPECTED to be down in the dumps because a guy broke a date with me. PUHLEAZE.
Positivity people. Seriously… get your heads out of your arses and cheer up. I completely agree.
PUHLEAZE indeed! People do need to just buck up and cheer up…..and put that energy into something else!
