not asking for much…
I was watching some lame ass chick flick as I was trying to fall asleep the other night and it got me thinking about a topic I never really give much thought too.
I’m an easy to please type girl in the girlfriend, chick you’re dating, or even chick you have sex with, with no complicated titles. I don’t ask for a lot, or things in return, and in general I’m just as happy eating leftovers laughing on the floor then out at a fancy restaurant.
But every once and awhile a few things cross my mind, or get put there that make me sorta say to my self:
“It would be nice and make me swoon if I had a guy who would…”
“Buy me a balloon”. I love balloons! I really do, and helium balloons sorta make me giddy like a 5 year old, and those big foil helium balloons shaped like characters make me cream my jeans and dance in circles! I’ve always been jealous when seeing girls with gift balloons!
“Take me mini golfing.” I like golf, but I love love love me some putt-putt action! There is no doubt I will get completive on this date, and you better believe I’m going to win. This may or may not be the reason when I’ve suggested this as a “date night” outing I’ve gotten hesitation! I want a boy to just take me mini-golfing!
“Remember what I drink.” Now granted I’ll drink pretty much anything, but if you know me it’s pretty easy to figure out my drink of choice. I’ve never had a guy (no matter how long we dated) ever pre order me a drink. And although, there is something nice about always asking, there just might be something nice about not asking.
“Take me bowling.” I don’t know if I’d be any good at it, but it seems fun! I assume I would not only enjoy laughing at myself try this ‘sport’, but someone else would enjoy laughing at me trying it!
“Be up for ordering more then two deserts!” Come on, who doesn’t want to sample all the deserts! Seriously!
FACT: If you read this and think any of these are the way to my heart, or will score you points on our date I will call you out on it, and will think much less of you. Nobody likes a kiss-ass!
(reason #___why I’m single: The movie I watched stared Jennifer Lopez, and then I watched another Jennifer Lopez) one!

I think it’d take a couple of dates, (depending on how you’ve met) to know what kind of silly things they’d enjoy.
I always think no matter the girl, the place, I try to do something that is a talking point, or do something out of the ordinary. If they like it, laugh, talk more, then that worked, if not then oh well.
Also, who doesn’t like Mini Golf!
I just took a date to mini golf the other night. And I won! Yes!
I like it a lot when a guy orders for me. It’s so smooth. What I’ve never received: flowers. No one (besides my mother) has given me flowers. I’d like a man to send me some… to my office… so everyone can see.
I was once at Monkey Bar and the man at the table next to mine secretly ordered each and every dessert on the menu for his date. They came out one by one and she was absolutely delighted that he had surprised her like that.
They may not be the way to your heart but they certainly sound like tickets into the express lane to your heart ;)
Dave—I agree! Something out of the ordinary can’t always happen on a first date, but when it does pop out it’s amazing! (and thanks for your first comment!)
Derek— Congrats on your win!
TalesfromaStool—The desert thing would make me swoon like under the table. I look forward to hearing about the boy who sends you flowers! I’ve never got a teddy bear (I totally forgot it on this list until your flower comment)
Teifion— That silly express lane ; )
I tend to skip the path to a woman’s heart, but rather set my sights on their soul…which to me, means a crazy night of skee-ball.
no teddy bear either. Girl you need to get out of that city and move to where the real men are. asap.
